A 2Gb card should be fine in a Nuvi 350 with a recent firmware. |

Thanks! I may be able to actually buy a 4gb or even 8gb card for any future maps that may be availabe and also load it with mp3s and jpgs. Do you know if there are any limitations or should i stick to the 2gb card? |

They are more problems above 2Gb, as the cards are normally SDHC cards, and I'm not sure if Garmin are supporting SDHC cards yet (on all models). |

The v9 update disc for my wife's i3 has just arrived. Hers is the earlier i3 version with the maps on a storage card. To avoid losing her present maps, can I load the new ones on a new (empty) micro SD card? If so, what size is needed for the Europe maps which have been supplied on the update disc?

I have not done it yet as my disc still hasn't arrived. However, I understand that the maps can be installed onto a new card. You need a 2GB for all of europe, but apparently the max size you can use is 1GB, and the unit apparently slows with anything above 512MB. You can always load the European maps when you need to, and only select the ones you need onto another card. |

Thanks Steve. I'll settle for a 512MB card and only load those maps I need for a given trip

I have been running mine on a 1gb card for a week now and had no problems whatsoever. _________________ Don't eat yellow snow

However, I should clarify - you may need to get a non-SDHC 2Gb card - some 2Gb cards are SDHC, and I'm not sure which Garmin models support SDHC at this time. |

sorry for my ignorance but is sdhc cards the high speed ones? currently i do have a 512mb sd which im using it with my digital camera as well and it says MLC. does it means something or is just part of the brand? Do you think is possible to find a compliant 4gb then as this will cover me for quite long i suppose and from ebay they are not so expensive either.
I did sent a question to garmin a couple of days ago but i havent receive a reply yet |
