If you are using the bells and boings from the built-in sounds, why not try the ogg File method as shown HERE.
If you are already using ogg Files, there are various sets 'floating' around. Do a Search for 'ogg'.;) _________________ Richard

This is sort of what I'm looking for also! Instead of using the bings, bongs, dings, dongs and buzz sounds are there sounds like "Gatso 30", "Gatso 40", "Gatso 50" etc.. that I can add to the POI's so I know without trying to remember which sounds means what or look at the TomTom screen then check my speedo! I'm sure I've seen somewhere that uses the words but not sure where. I assume I can get them for free to add them to the Speed cameras I'm about to get from here!?! |

As far as I know here are NO voice alerts from TomTom themselves, only places like PGPSW, Ray Flanagan's site, and people on the various forums who have made their own, or edited others.
You really need to look in the Speed Cameras section of this forum where there is LOTS of discussion about this.

Wow! You like a lot of warning!

As Oldboy says, there are already some sets around.
For quite "wordy" versions look for the posts by "Mullet" in the Speed Camera forum section. Strangely enough, I've just made up sets based on the original PGPSW warnings, specifically because some people wanted shorter ones! I can email those if you want them.
I have been talking to PGPSW about compiling all the various offerings into one place. Hopefully news on this soon!
littlesthobo Yes you can get exactly what you want in the Speed Camera forum. Look for posts about "ogg files" |

Or that you can't get the Warning that you want? _________________ Richard

Yes they do.
Can you be more specific about what you are doing and what is going wrong? |

Dave, can you please have a read through THIS as it details both the data.chk AND .ogg methods of spoken alerts, which one are you using? - and at what point does it fail - Mike |

Just to reinforce the instructions...
If you add the ogg files to your system you do not need to do ANYTHING to your data.chk file.
Leave the original one supplied by TomTom as it is, or if you have already been using a modified one from this site, you can put the original TT one back and have the old bells and whistles available for other POIs. |
