You are only allowed 100 ov2 files. _________________ Gareth |

Sorry, can't see how to edit my previous post.
I have the same problem as the OP, but the weird thing is i deleted all the Food POI's i added from here, but the McDonald ones are still in there.
Anyone have any idea how to get rid of the McDonald's POIs - I even tried a restore from my backup! |

Yes, you have a limit of 100 user-added POI categories. Add more, and some (not neccessarily the last ones added) simply do not show.
The TomTom supplied POI's do not count towards the 100 limit.
You can have as many actual POI's in a category file as you like.
As for McDonalds, are they the ones in the TT supplied POI's? If so, you cannot delete them (or any of the TT ones).
If they are ones from here, you should be able to see the category in "Manage POIs" in the Preferences Menu, and be able to delete them from there, either individually or the whole category.
Alternatively, you could hook up to your PC and scan the map folder for all the ov2 files. If it is a user-added category, it MUST be there. |

Hi Andy
Thanks for your reply.
After some more fiddling round tonight, I think that they are the TT McDonalds I am seeing (they have the knife and fork icon = the TT restaurant logo).
What I find strange is when I first got my 910 (my first ever sat nav) I was fiddling around with it like you do, and tried to plan a route to mcdonalds, but the TT couldn't find ANY mcdonalds ("no poi found" error).
But when I first connected the TT to my Mac, the TT had an update available for it, which I installed. Could this be when the TT was then first able to find the TT McDonalds and I just never noticed it until I was playing with the POIs from this (excellent) website?
It doesn't really matter at all, but I'd like to find an explanation as to what did happen.
Thanks again,
Matthew |
