I want to get another SD card to make a back up. I have found 7dayshop doing a 2gb for £9.99 + £3 p&p.

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=100916

Will this work OK in my TT1 & be fast enough?

Is there cheaper or better out there?

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole...

It is unbranded, they've photographed it upside down so you can't see any label, and even then they say "PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BRAND MAY VARY FROM PICTURE DISPLAYED"

There is no speed rating mentioned that I can see.

Spend a few quid more and get something where they aren't ashamed to quote the specs!

www.mymemory.co.uk do a 133x 2GB SD under their own brand name for £17.99. It works very well in my TomTom One and my digital camera.

Great heads up as you say a bargain Thumbs Up just ordered one even with the postage (seller has no control over amount charged Postage & Packing: £4.50 Amazon dictate the cost and it's excessive given the actual cost to send the device)

Thanks for the tip on that Transcend 2Gb card guys, just ordered one.

I would have ordered two, but P+P is £4.50 per card (will probably order another one, once I'm satisfied that it works fine in my wifes camera).

Thank you everybody, particularly crazylegs. I too have ordered one of these last night. I am embarassed to say my existing 2GB cards (of no known speed) cost me about £40 each. Embarassed

In case anybody cares, I am NOT related to nazimyounis, even though he comes from God's Own County (actually, I THINK I'm not related to him, but I suppose I could be wrong, seeing as where he comes from).

Update delivered this morning 09:00 less than 36hrs from placing the order.
Amazon is raking it in actual postage 44 pence plus a jiffy bag all as per original posting noticeably faster in operation on a TT1V3GB Exclamation

I have mentioned in a previous thread that my TT one Europe seemed more sluggish than the UK/irl version that I had for 24 hours, I downloaded the USA/Canada maps over Christmas onto a Sandisk Ultra 2, 1GB card, I feel that the TT is more responsive whilst using that card.

My theory is that (and it is just that) tomtom sourced a really cheap 1Gb card to fit the euro maps onto, also there isnt a lot of room on either the USA or Euro cards, someone here mentioned that the TT uses a swap file like a PC, so I'm hoping that my TT will feel liberated one it has a decent chunk of spare & fast memory to use at its will.
