Go Classic:
Go300/500/700:
Pin Name/Description
1 Ground
2 Dock Sense 1
3 Dock Sense 2
4 Microphone input biased
5 Audio out left
6 Audio out right
7 Mute Radio
8 Car lights Sense
9 Spare
10 TXD 3V
11 RXD 3V
12 RTS 3V
13 CTS 3V
14 (?) DC out +3.3V

It is likely to short out any of the connector pins which will damage the unit - especially if you tried to supply power from the mount.
One option is to disassemble the mount and remove the multiway connector completely (It is not glued in - comes out easily when you take the mount apart).
Then you can use it with your Classic, but you will have to plug the power lead into the back of the Go rather than the mount.
Taking the mount apart is easy if you have the right torx screwdrivers (or you don't mind ruining a set of flat-bladed jewellers ones and the screws!).
Start by carefully peeling off the rubber sheet on the bottom... |
