Can anyone advise if I can get Tom Tom Mobile for the Nokia E61 ? Looked everwhere and I can't find a yes or a no or if it will work. I gather it has the Symbian OS and is a possibility as my next company phone and it would be nice to combine all my in car stuff in one place _________________ TomTom 720

I have tt6 on a nokia e61 and it works perfectly , no crashes freezes etc ( unlike my old n73 which was terrible) . Rumor has it the e61i may be out soon so might be an idea to wait and see .

Might not have a choice Mark as I'll probably have to order this week. But if I can delay it I will. Thanks for the reply ref TT6. I'll go for the DVD, load onto the 1gb Mini SD and drop it in the E61 _________________ TomTom 720

Slightly off topic but the E61 also works well as an internet voip phone if you have wifi at home ( or anywhere else)
I use www.truphone.com and get free calls for the next few months.
For the internet with 3g I have an orange PAYG sim as unlimited browsing can be had for £1 a day .
Also the 3 network were doing a deal where the e61 came with tomtom software, might be worth a look , although you probably know its not the best network.
Regards

Mine will be through work and on Vodafone network. I use Skype from home but my company pays for the rest. We mainly use them for Edgemail for work and...gasp...a phone as well and I have a proper hands free car kit being installed so I can see my Sat Nav as I'm driving. A few guys already have them and they are very nice indeed so I'm looking forward to it. Also looking forward to loading TT6.... _________________ TomTom 720

I can confirm that only tt6 and above work with the E61, and it works well on mine, accuracy is around 20 meters with the nokia gps receiver. |

Yep, mines been running on my E61 for a few weeks now. Fantastic screen quality and as you say, very very accurate. Flawless operation and it picks up my Holux BT receiver straight away. Bought a Brodit bracket which I have screwed to my existing phone cradle bracket on the center vent of my Passat and power the E61 from the power socket below. _________________ TomTom 720
