hi
tomtom one v2 europe.
i need to create some space on my sd card, and want to delete the foreign voices in my voices folder, but i can't see which ones to delete. they have 2 files each, for example data00.chk and data 00.vif
how can i find out which voice this is. i don't want to delete any celeb or english voices i have.

Delete them when conected to your PC using the TomTom Home app.

really don't like using tomtom home - doesn't often recognise that i'm connected. can i not do it thru windows explorer? |

tony ,you might not like using 'home' but it really is so simple..the right hand pane has all that's on the tomtom and its a simple matter of deleting it... _________________ *************************** |

took your advice and did it thru 'home'. thanks for that. freed up about a further 12mb needed.

Use Windows Explorer, right click the dataXX.vif file (XX is a numeric value that is part of the file name) and select "Open With" now select Notepad, the contents of that dataXX.vif will be explained as follows:
English(UK) - Jane
data05.chk
Jane
From the contents of the vif file you can find out which voice and country and its associated .chk file
So IF you wanted to delete the Jane voice simply delete the data05.chk and data05.vif (not a good example as this is probably the one you want to keep) - Mike |

Data04 & Data05 are the 2 English voices. |
