I wasn't aware that Medion did maps of Australia. I've checked on the Medionshop.UK website and can't see any mention of Aussie maps. Best thing you can do is drop an email to the Medion shop and ask.
IF said Aussie maps DO exist, then it might help you if you mention which version of the Medion software you have loaded (4.75, 5.1....).
Good luck! You'll get the p&%s taken out of you, after our no-show at the cricket! |

I think TomTom would be your best bet, but if you are a technophobe (like me) it might be best to get someone else to do it. There are a lot of posts on this forum that show you exactly how to put TomTom on your Medion unit, so it can be done.
If I were you, I would first email Medion and ask them if they have an Australian map for your unit, and if no, then double check that the TomTom software you intend to add does have Australian maps. |

hi all, I moved to australia last year, I too had a medion sat nav that I bought in Aldi. I used this forum to find out how to convert it to run tomtom nav5. you'll find the insructions here.http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=39769
unfortunately i have still been unable to find maps that will run on the original Navigon software. the TT5 map is a little out of date, it doesn't show the new M7 motorway in Sydney,( its shows it as purple and white road). also many streets in Sydney city centre are now one-way, and its not up to speed there either. the TT6 map however is up to date, the down side is the medion 96800 won't or can't run TT6. So to overcome that I bought a mio digiwalker P350, they're cheap here if you know where to shop, mine cost only cost $290, thats £116. without the gps software. food for thought. drop me a pm if I can be of any further help. |
