I have been hunting around the forums and am now thoroughly confused about the Tom Tom One. I can see that the European and Regional simply have different maps, but where in the scheme of things do the V2 and new editions lie? |

See here: http://www.find-tomtom-deals.co.uk/
Basically the One "new edition" is generally referred to as the V2.
The V2 Regional (GB) & V2 European are IDENTICAL apart from the mapping.
GB uses a Teleatlas map & covers GB & RoI & the Euro uses a Navteq map.
same as the Go 510/710. Only dofference is the supplied maps. |

Just to add further confusion (or consideration) the V2 never existed, if you plug a new TomTom One into your PC it is actually identified as a TomTom One V3.
As thebinman pointed out the difference is down to the maps, if you think you will be travelling in Europe in the next couple of years get the Europe version as this works out cheaper than having to purchase the UK version then upgrading it with Europe maps later (this is possible but more costly) - Mike |

"TomTom ONE" (as it is still often referred to by TT) or "TomTom ONE 1st Edition" (as they have started calling it on their website since the day before yesterday) looks like this:
"TomTom ONE Regional", "TomTom ONE Europe", "TomTom ONE New edition", "TomTom ONE v2 (or 3!)" are all exactly the same hardware, and look like this:
