|
|
I have found three cases where discontinued cameras are still shown on the Google map that we use to check camera change submissions, even though they are no longer in the current download. Is the Google map deliberately different to the download for some reason? I had thought that this was the most up to date reference.

it uses the same database so it is impossible for this to be the case on the day of a release. the only time it could happen is if a camera is reinstated after a release.
at this moment in time i have not dealt with any submissions (i've not even checked there are any) since the release so the google map IS the current release.
can you give me camera numbers you are concerned about?

ps - if they are grey then they are 'out of use' and not in the release |

those are grey and therefore inactive.
we keep those on the map so that people can see that there used to be a camera there etc.

Wish I'd known that before I drove up and down that bit of A3 looking for non-existent cameras
