Hi all
I've just got my TomTom one - and have got a coupel of POI files from a mate. How or what do i do with them? - he said to copy them over to the map file, (along with teh .bmp file,) but i cant find a map file on the tomtom? Does he mean the "United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland" Folder. This has POI.dat file in it.??

Supplementary question.
If I just want the McDonalds POIs added to my TT5 do I just copy the POI downloads unzipped .bmp and ov2 files into my GB map folder ? I assume TT sees them when I next power on ? _________________ TomTom 720

Yes, that is all that is required, although you could consider adding a POI warning to the category, go to Change preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI scroll through the list until you find the stated POI and select it, next assign a suitable sound - Mike |
