I read with pleasure that people have TT6 running on IPAQ 5550 under WM2003 from an SD card.
I have Navman sleeve on 5550 with 1Gb SD. I tried loading eveything onto the SD card but no matter what I reorganise I always get "No maps found".
Can anyone help?
Thanks |

I have no idea about the Navman sleeve but everything on my 5550 works when installed from the DVD to the 5550 with a 4GB SD card in its slot.
Is your installed from the DVD via TomTom Home or did you buy it pre-installed on an SD card?
Some of the versions found on ebay have this issue. |

Thanks for responding. It came loaded on the SD card. I read some of the ideas like putting the maps in a my documenst folder on the SD card but so far no joy.
Any further thoughts? |

So what directory are the maps in? Is this an official TomTom SD card? _________________ Tim |

If the 2577 folder (with the autostart and cab files) is removed from the root of the SD Card on my PDA, the maps are not found. |

Does the Navman sleeve have a card slot as well (maybe a CF slot)? Is there a card in it? If so, try removing the card from the Navman sleeve. TT6 has problems sometimes with multiple-card devices. It can't seem to search for the maps correctly when there is a card in the second slot. THe SD slot in you 5550 would, of course, be the first slot.
I know some sleeves had that CF card slot.

Interesting. When I "upgraded" from 5.21 to 6 using a download from the TT web site I placed an empty card in the SD slot as it complained there wasn't enough room for the maps on the existing one - which was correct. Using TTHOME it installed the Maps onto this SD card and there is no 2577 folder on the card. Of course it does mean that I have to manually start TT on the PDA when I insert the card - but I don't mind this. All I have on the SD card are Voices, Western Euroe and ZIP. |

My TomTom6 will not find any maps unless there is a file called autorun.exe in the "storage card\2577" directory. It does not matter what the autorun.exe file is, it just looks to see if that a file with that name is there. Mine is now a blank file so it does not autorun when I insert the storage card. |

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have come to the conclusion that the SD card is cactus, so will have to start again. |
