Can anyone help?
I have a TomTom One and a Vodafone contract mobile. No matter what I do I can't get it to connect for traffic over GPRS. However it connects first time using an Orange pay as you go.
Using the following settings I have managed to establish a GPRS connection but it always times out on the TT:
APN - wap.vodafone.co.uk
Username - wap
Password - wap
IP and DNS set to automatic.
Has anyone got a definitive list of settings for a Vodafone contract phone?
Thanks,

Mark, I suspect your APN. user name and password is incorrect try:
APN= Internet
User= web
Pass = web
It would appear you have the phone set-up for WAP based internet browsing, for TomTom Traffic (and any other Plus service) you need Full GPRS and true internet connectivity from your phone. As a simple test can you browse the internet site from your phone? - Mike |

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I can browse on the mobile.
I've tried those other settings before and cannot even create a GPRS session.

I can confirm Mike's Vodafone details are correct (at least they're working for me) for Internet access over GPRS. However, I believe that Vodafone can set your account for WAP and/or Internet access.
When mine was activated, I was told (by the guy at work who deals with our Vodafone account team) that I should specifically ask for "GPRS Internet" access or else I might just get WAP.
I don't know if this is your problem, but give Vodafone Customer Services a call and ask them to confirm if you have Internet or just WAP enabled.
Hope that helps...

Thanks for that A1. That sounds quite likely. I've passed your post onto our mobile department (we can't contact Vodafone ourselves). I'll post back here when I get a response.
Thanks again,
