I've just asked Mike if PGPSW will be able host all the various versions that people have put together so we can see them all on a single webpage.
If anyone wants the original (brief) PGPSW alerts as in the data.chk versions, I've done sets with and without a bing-bong at the front. |

Whoops! I've just had a PM from Mike (Alder) pointing out that he's not one of the PGPSW staff, as I had been assuming in previous conversations.
I'll start again with Darren.... |

Many thanks to all who have helped me since Xmas. I have now got TT working with Speed camera warnings and Voice warnings (thanks Mike). What a great website and the confidence to have a go, and being not very technically minded that is something.
Thanks all of you.

Sorry about this but one more query regarding the voice messages. I thought thanks to Mike that I had installed these correctly into my TT One V2 Europe. However on a test run this afternoon i was getting some messages and some bells. Is this correct. I have i tried reinstalling but the same result. I have been back into the POI's and unticked and reticked the appropiate ones. Any help appreciated. (simple language please, i am a beginner)
Thanks |

You need to configure each PGPSW camera POI file in the change preferences/ manage POI/ Warn When Near POi menu, make sure you have done this for all the camera POI files you have installed.
If the TomTom camera database is still installed to you device this could be giving the other warning sounds, there are reoval instructions posted HERE - Mike |

As far as I am aware unless it is on the system when you buy it I did not have the camera database from TT.
I am still not sure exactly what I have to do to reconfigure. When I go into where you suggest they are all ticked. I do not seem to be able to master how to get back any further than that.

They will be listed and ticked as part of you previous configuration (prior to the spoken alerts), you need to select each one in the list - one at a time, answer NO to the remove warning then set the distance required for the camera followed by Warn Only IF POI on Route according to your own preferences.
It might help to write down the cameras one by one as you configure them, that way you only do each category once - Mike |

Hi
Thought the replacement speed cam sounds were great until I upgraded my TT1 Europe via the TT Home tonight.
Now APP 6.560 (7914/061211) OS:1713 with GPS v1.21, Boot 5.05.
Any idea of the new file for getting the speed cam sounds back on again?
Thanks _________________ MARTIN HIGGINS - MM0DUN

Martin, you need to take a look at the ogg file method to get spoken alerts back on your device, please have a read through THIS the data.chk is not available for your device running the curent software, but the ogg files will work and produce the same spoken alerts, BTW check your e-mail to save you messing around re-naming files I have sent a set correctly named for you to use - Mike |

Mike copied the files again although they were there and rebooted and all is okay now.

Keep up the fine work.

Moderators --- Isn't it about time this topic was "un-stickied" and replaced by a copy of the ogg files instructions?
Or at very least, the FIRST post in this thread needs editing to tell people about the ogg files method.
Otherwise we are going to send the rest of our lives pointing people to the topic which is in a different forum
