|
|
Hi ,
I have recently purchased a TomTom 510 which I love.
However I am expierienceing a few problems with it.
I have conected it to my PC and have updated it all with the latest version of software.
When I set up the unit to navigate to an address it will start fine and then after about ten minutes it will pop up with the 'destination details' screen.
And it will keep on doing this and the only way you can get out of it is by tapping the screen several times,or in some some cases hold your finger on the screen for a few seconds, it will continue to do this.
I have also found that after it keeps popping up to the 'destination details' screen the driving map will start to zoom in on its own and it will not let you zoom out!!!
Does this sound to you like my screen is faulty or a software issue as sometimes when it gets in this muddle the touch screen will select an option which you have not selected.
Very frustrating, please help!!!!!! |

Sounds like a screen problem to me.
Try removing SD card, reinsert it & paperclip reset.
When connected to mains charger, turn unit off, paperclip for 30 secs then hold power button down for 10 secs.
Must be worth a try at least. |

Have you got one of the after market clip on surrounds?
sounds like the touch screen is picking up rogue inputs. Maybe the case is pinching at one edge of the screen, or try carefully cleaning it to make sure there is no contamination on there...... |
