On my v2 I backed up the tomtom sd card through tomtom home then restored this backup onto my new 1gb card.
took no more than a couple of minutes and worked without any fuss.
Infact I've not used the orginal v2 sd card, oother than for a day or so after I got the unit last year. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

Can I assume from this discussion that it is possible to use a 2GB card in place of the 1GB card that came with my TT One?
Is there a limit on the size of the memory card?
Thanks! |

Some use 4Gb but 2Gb is quite normal.
Kingston, Dane-Elec & Datawrite are all good.
DON'T buy the cheapest SD you can find as it may be too slow. |

This might not be exactly what you are after.I have a 710 and TTone V2 europe.V2 has navteq maps which are more up to date than teleatlas on 710.Could put sd card from 710 into TT one with no problems but not other way round.Kept saying insert card.I removed western europe maps file from 710 and replaced it with maps from TT one V2.It just asked me to activate the maps via tomtom web, which I did and hey presto;I now have navteq maps on my 710.I did a backup and restore to move from 1GB sd to a 2 GB sd with no problems,Mike |
