unfortunately no.
TomTom has maps for South Africa.

You can do it for Garmin though - there are quite a few PPC programs which can use Garmin maps and plenty of various software to create your own maps. |

You can do it for Garmin though - there are quite a few PPC programs which can use Garmin maps and plenty of various software to create your own maps. |
I'm using gpsmapedit and globalmapper to create garmin maps, and gpsbabel to convert wps, tracks and routes to garmin format.
Is there any palm os GPS software using Garmin maps or other vector maps I can edit? |

there are some for PPC, but not for PALM AFAIK |

Garmin already have maps of South Africa. Coverage is limited to the major cities and major roads in between...

I see there is a company which makes third party maps of Africa for Garmin units. Check out http://www.garmap.com/
