|

Being fairly new to this forum and only slightly computer literate I think a "How To" section would be useful. It would save the moderators having to answer the same questions over and over. It would also save users from hours of reading to find info which would help them do things like updating software versions, maps and safety cameras etc.
There are people out here who need it spelling out step by step in simple jargon-free words. I was about 45 years old when the BBCB computer was invented so computing isn't my second language and I've quite a lot of catching up to do.
Any views on this?

I can't remember when the BBCB was invented? My first PC was much better than that 20 years ago when I was about 45 and a bit.
There are dozens (and then some - just to the left it says 200,000) of pages on this site and the one thing I keep seeing is advice to use the SEARCH feature, wherein lie the answers to everything and the universe.
You've found the right forum for your GO and from the looks of your signature, you've cracked the updates and cameras, so you're not too much of a dumbo. Give the Search a try for anything you fancy (and when it works, give me a few tips - I usually have to try for quite a while - I need to learn how to ask the right questions!).
I imagine the difficulty with a "How To" section is what goes into it - probably something close to the 200,000 pages I mention above! :D
It is my good fortune that the Team, Moderators and MANY clever members seem to have inexhaustible patience and expertise to answer all my duplicate problems. _________________ Dennis

The guys are working on a Frequently Asked Questions thread so we should have some pointers fairly soon.
Have a look here. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Anything to replace the official manual would be good.
The second time I went to use my 510 it wouldn't power on. In the end I found out about the reset button online - surely that is a must for the manual? Even the pages about TT Home were less than helpful.
Without this forum and others like it I would be lost in as far as getting the best out of the thing is concerned.
I might be over 45, but I've been an MCSE for 10 years and computers are my job AND I've been using TT on my IPAQ for a while |
