Anyone know what folder TT Home keeps it's content on the computer, no sign of any... and can it then use this sites TT Home camera downloads to update V6 on PDA?

I don't think HOME can be used with a PDA.

But for information the Default Content Folder is
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Content\

Oops, didn't read the second paragraph... as per my namesake!

Will try that folder, thanks.

HOME can be used with a PDA, sort of. If you have a cardreader then tou can use HOME to transfer anything to a memory card. You might have to tell HOME where the device is, though.

I have used HOME to set up blank SD cards for use in my iPAQ.

When I upgraded from TT5 to TT6 the only way I could get to download the upgrade of maps and TT6 software was to use TomTom Home after purchasing online, the instructions are :-

http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=5169&Lid=1

after I downloaded you can use TomTom Home to install the map, tt6 and postcode to the memory card, I then inserted the memory card into my O2 XDA Orbit, turned on, the Orbit then ran the installation automatically.

Checking my pc file structure I noticed all the installation downloads were located in ..\My Documents\tomtom\HOME\Downloads

Cheers

Understand now.

That's the problem with not having a PDA.Smile

Thanks for the replies... the reason I asked is, I wondered if it would be easier to put the speed camera files into the PDA this way by downloading the TT Home database into TT Home, but it sounds like I'm just as well carrying on using the OV2 download & copying them to the PDA folder?

Just a thought... will it use TomTom's own speed limit flashing icons if done through TT Home?

The Speed Flashing that TT does is part of the Map Data, and not a POI feature.
