Camera 9571 doesn't show on the Google map application when I look for it. It is however in the latest download.

So it is - that's strange, it didn't appear when I was looking at that junction to submit a change.

I zoomed in and out several times, but no show. The nearby cameras on the A3 were there OK.
I use Opera which is normally shows them perfectly. Just one of those unexplained things I suppose...

I had to ask this when I started out so I'll share what little I learned.
The Google Map shows current, tagged for removal/amendments & obsolete cameras. Never got an official answer to colour key request but the concensus was red - current, orange - tagged for something, grey - old removals. |

... and the icon with the asterix in the red circle is for the Variable Speed Cameras (mainly on the M25) where the speed limit is reduced dependent on traffic or weather conditions, and the cameras in the gantries automatically adjust themselves to match. You get the same icon on screen if you use the PGPSW .bmp files.
(But, a note to anyone submitting cameras for the database, there ISN'T a camera in every gantry, even if it does have the huge LED speed limit signs on it.) |
