Yes, if you own two compatible units then you can get another code for the second one, for free. _________________ Tim |

Quote: | If you e-mail or phone Garmin with the serial number they will give you the registration code. I had to do this, as I don't recall seeing a slip with the code on in the box the i3 came in. |
I can't remember if i had one or not - pretty sure i did but can't be certain. Maybe.
Anyway, if you registered your i3 you should be able to retrieve the code from http://shop.garmin.com/cartography/mapsource/update/forgot_coupon_code.asp?L=EN and Garmin will e-mail it to you. I then tried to use mine at http://shop.garmin.com/cartography/mapsource/update/enter_master_coupon_code.asp?L=EN but it saiys

Hi all, long long time lurker, first time poster.
I spoke with Garmin support this morning and they're having issues with their database at the moment, hence all the issues we're having, I'm getting the same message too. Apparantley it probably won't be resolved today though.
Quote: | Even though we are all after a free update due to buying the units after 1st September, I am sure you can still upgrade. |
Is this the case ? I bought and registered mine in October, have I lost the chance of a free upgrade due to registering ? |

No you can still get a free uograde. I registered my Unit at the end of November, but can still upgrade for free.
If you still have your i3 box then there normally is a sticker on it saying what version the unit should have. My box has a sticker stating "V9 Maps" However as the V9 hadn't been rolled out at the time, the unit came with V8 maps, but get to upgrade for free when V9 maps became available.
I got an e-mail from Garmin this morning saying they were having problems, and they will look into it and get back to me asap. All they could do was apologise. |

In February 2006 I bought the CityNavigator Europe v8 unlock code for £51.78[iQue 3600].
This included the unlock code for a second unit[GPS60C].
My family bought two additional units in June 2006 [GPS 60CSx], and I bought an additional unlock code for v8 for the two units. It cost me a further £90!
The version released now is the NT version 9 so is of no use for my iQue 3600!
I will have to wait for the Non NT version which will work on all my Units! |

I've just managed to order my upgrade DVD - I hope!
Although I carefully followed the instructions I received from Garmin Europe, the order form said "This form is for orders shipping to locations in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii."
Since the form already showed my address, including "United Kingdom" as the country I decided, as the disk itself is free, to risk ordering it anyway. Will post here when (and if) it arrives. _________________ Anita

As I have still kept getting the same error message, under the select country option I clicked "Other" and it then gave you contact details for each Garmin Office.
I have ordered it that way.
E-Mail them direct at this address upgradeoffer.europe@garmin.com
Be sure to include your name, address, phone, email and product that you are interested in updating. Also tell them the type of mapping required (City Navigator, City Navigator NT, BlueChart
etc)
You will get a computer generated response then saying they will deal with your request asap!
Hope that helps people! |

Spoke to an actuall real life person at Garmin UK today and she said the website ordering might be a little hit and miss due to gremlins, but it will be sorted by friday, somthing to do with databases.
I have tried randomly and just got the form to work so it might be worth persisting. _________________ Don't eat yellow snow

Like Anita, I ordered through the normal Garmin website, have got an order ID, seems hunky-dory so far. _________________ Garmin I3 October 2006
