sd card error

wow i just got an early xmas pressie a tomtom one

and made a backup on my pc..

i added a voice to this folde in the right place

and tried to copy the contents to a new formatted sd card..

so as i leave the original card untouched.

but now the pc says it is unable to write to sd card as its write protected..

any help please.

Check the position of the write protection switch on the SD card, quite often they say lock. With the card facing you the chamfered corner should be top right, the switch is on the left it needs to be UP, its possible you might have caught the switch when inserting into the reader - Mike

no thats ok...... and the card is brand new??
