am trying to put the speed camera database onto my Garmin Nuvi - I have down loaded the POI loading software and are unsure which data base to download
I downloaded the database for Nuvi but when trying to load in on the sat nav the POI loding software said no .CSV files available in the folder I have stored the downloaded speed camera files
Can anyone help ? - Have I downloaded the correct files?

I never understand why people reply to a thread, then dont bother to answer it!!
Looks like you downloaded the right files, POI loader for Nuvi i3 etc. The file you download is a zip file. You need to unzip it then place it on your desktop ( its easier to see there) Then when you run POI loader, browse to the unzipped folder and it should load ok.
Not too difficult to answer properly, and only took me a minute to type!!!
Hope this helped

Because sometimes the answer has been posted so many times before. Some people just post without looking or searching. The forum just gets flooded with the same questions over and over.... |

This was a question I tried to get an answer to a while back. It took me ages of searching, especially when the forum was slow to respond. I thought it would be easier to reply with an answer.
I understand that this question may have been asked many times before, but I would rather see forums full of information rather than full of unhelpful replies.
Its rather like asking the time and being told to buy a watch because the information is out there!!!
Stands back with flack jacket on........................

Hi Chris,
I have a nuvi 310D and I use the Garmin "UK - Speed Zoned Complete (24 files)" from this site.
As bibamus said, download it to somewhere you can find it. Unzip it to the same location.
Connect your satnav
Launch POI loader and choose your satnav "nuvi" from the removal storage listings.
Find the POI file you just unzipped using the Browse option.
Use Feet and MPH option
Use Express (Recommended) option
Press the Next option and the camera database should download to you nuvi.
If you have any probelms check out this post:-

The same question over and over again so that any new information or unique posts get pushed down the page?

Time to get a watch!

No flak flying. Just a difference in opinion on how to use a forum. I've always been told that a forum is there for you to FIND the answer and ask for it if it's not there. Time and trouble has been spent on making the various guides yet the get ignored in favour of posting the same question again and again. This means any interesting or useful posts can soon disappear in favour of 6-8 posts all asking the same basic question. |
