Can anyone tell me if it possible to change the menu structure in tomtom 6? I know this is possible in TOMTOM 5 but I cannot find the tomtom.mnu in tomtom 6.

The custom menus work the same as the V5, you need to place the tomtom.mnu in the folder
\TOMTOM\SdkRegistry\TomTom.mnu
If you don't have the SdkRegistry folder create it and the menu will work fine.
Use the web site below to download free menu builder software.

Thanks for that, I uninstalled TT6 then put TT5 back on then sussed out that I needed the TOMTOM\SdkRegistry\ folder so I could of left the TT6 on.
Now I am having trouble getting the checkpoint on the menu, I dropped the sdk line in and just get a "? mobile phone Icon" .

Hi Nick,
In the SdkRegistry folder you should have the CheckPOInt bitmap files?
Try SDK1 in the menu structure, if that does not work try different numbers.
I use POI Warner and had to set my SDK to 5 as below.
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK5|
Regards

Thanks Dave,
I think the problem was I need to start CheckPoint then run navigator, which I gues then creates the 2 files you mentioned?
I find CheckPoint really slows the moving map when Navigating, whats POI Warner like?
Cheers

POI Warner is much better than Checkpoint, I used Checkpoint for about a year and had many problems. and kept losing settings.
Map seems the same both and without POI Warner. _________________ ----------------------------------------

If you don't have the SdkRegistry folder create it and the menu will work fine. | I can't seem to get this to work with TTN6 on my Palm Treo 650 (SD Card). The folder on the card is named "tomtom" upon installation. I tried renaming it to "TOMTOM" and "TomTom", and neither worked. I also tried "SdkRegistry" and "SDKRegistry"... no luck. |

Mark,
The TomTom folder is on the My device directory not the card, try this.

The closest I could come was to create a \TomTom\SDKRegistry directory under "BuiltIn(A)". There were already a few other Palm specific folders there. Needless to say, it didn't work.
Does anyone have any links to TTN6 resources that are specific to the PalmOS? All my searching thus far seems to be Windows-based. _________________ Mark
