|
|
Looking at purchasing the new maps for my classic.
As this will inevitably entail purchasing a new SD card, I thought I would ask advice on the most suitable card available for the Tomtom - Viking?
I know in the early days there were some compatability problems with cards...
I can't believe the price diffference between downloading and ordering on SD card! |

I was just about to ask the same question.
I have just downloaded the latest maps for my Tom-Tom Go and then realised they would not fit on my present card (256mb). So I to am looking for a new card probably a 1gb and was thinking of the Viking. |

I've found them very helpful with prompt replies to email, and when I purchased my 1gog Peak card from them they offered to exchange it if it wasn't suitable for SatNav. (It works fine with my PDA setup) _________________ Go740L App 9.510 Europe 985.8155

UPDATE
* * * * * * * * *
I've just noticed that my GO has started locking up when accidentially 'taking a picture' by clicking on top-left of screen. I now realise it was locking up because it was trying to write to the SD card referred to above.
I've just put back in a Viking 1GB and the good performance has returned. It 'snaps' very quickly. So, if you followed my link above - the feedback seems to be correct.
Sorry if I misled you.

Thanks for that. Actually only need 512 SD card for the GB/ROI & Major Roads of Europe (300MB).
So even cheaper! I know it's penny pinching but it's enough for me, even with voices and Speed cam database. 8) |
