Have you tried pressing and holding the reset button in for 30 seconds? - give that a try as a number of others have found this method works - Mike |

I get the same problem but only if I've had it hooked up to the PC and running TTHome
a pin in the reset hole solves it _________________ SW

Same here, but once it did the last upgrade to the TomTom software, the problem went away. I also make sure that on my PC I disconnect the hardware at the windows level to unmount the TomTom before I physically disconnect it. _________________ ________________________________________

I've had my TT1 since about June this year and this has happened twice so far. A quick push on the reset button cures it although on reset I notice the screen is a lighter shade than before. What does pushing the reset for 30 secs do that a couple of secs doesn't? |

Don't know but TT suggest you try it. |
