Hi guys, does any one of you have experience with loading of POIs in sony NV through POI warner? I am planning to buy new sony which is due to relase this month. But I wanted to know if adding your own POI is still a problem |

For what its worth I had little joy with my U50. Perhaps it was down to me perhaps the Sony software. It slowed the unit’s responses and at times caused it to freeze completely. So in the end I removed it. Currently running with ‘Speedlimit’ and while the camera database may not be as comprehensive as others, it works. |

Hi Benny, My sony NV 50 was stolen and I am planning to buy another unit. had bought nuvi but then returned it back as the display was not as good as sony. Then i came to know that sony is releasing new unit 70t in dec mid. So will wiat for that. I know that dippy had worked out some lenghty way of loading speed cameras. and poi warner had also advertised in its website but never tried. Apparently on dec 6 sony is starting a new website dedicated to NVs where you can download stuff. Apparently the new sony will come with free subscription of speed camera database for a year. so i hope we can benefit from that. From the website you mentioned you could download speed cameras only or also POIs. and what has been your experience with TMC so far with sony? |

Hi
Firstly its good news that Sony has finally realised the users' need to expand on their POI's. (eg Speed Cameras)
As for the TMC, I have the U50 and not the U50T, sorry I can't assist there.
The new unit looks nice and I hope all goes well for you.
Regards
Benny. |

Hi,
I have a Navu-50T and POI-Warner works perfectly on mine. It didn't slow down anything on my device and I must say that the support on POI-Warner was great, I mailed them and 2h later I got a reply!
Once you understand how the POI-Warner works it's no problem.
Had some problems installing it and the device turned black. I just turned it off and on with the main switch and tried again and this time it worked! :D
I have all speedcameras for the Nordic countries installed and some other POI's as well. It's easy to add a camera through the software, you can also edit when you want the first and second warning when you come close to a speedcamera.
TMC also works perfectly... |
