|
|
Hi folks,
Please can someone help me here as i am totally confused here..., i have just subscribed to PGPS speed camera database (first time), now when at the download page its asking me for "SatNav System" i have 2 choices:
1- TomTom Home
2- TomTom OV2
I am not sure which one i need to select, i have a TomTom One V2 Europe edition.
Once you have selected one of the above options i am again presented a list of database's to download, which one do i require?
Thanks in advance,.

Hi nazimyounis,
If you want to let TomTom Home program do it from your PC then use the “Home” version. Otherwise download the .OV2 version, unzip it and place in the map folder of your TomTom ONE.
Personally, I’d download the 24 speed zoned files in .OV2 format and manually place the .OV2 and .BMP files in the map folder of your TomTom ONE.
Don’t forget to get the .ogg files for your warning sounds too.

Of course you only need to add the BMP files once (they stay the same).
Unless these are changed or new catagory made then the same BMP will work from month to month. |

ray, have you looked at THIS THREAD in the speed camera forum?
It explains how to do it and where to get some real voice files.
If you want to use the old PGPSW voices, they are individually downloadable from the same page as the old data.chk method HERE
None of the ones (yet) on the web are complete sets, but are missing various bits (like the 20mph warning) for those you can just copy the general "Gatso" file as many times as needed.
You can always make your own, too. There are several descriptions of how to do it, if you search the forums. |

Andy, I'm blowed if I can remember who gave them to me, but I have a complete set of OGGs - 24 of them, if you'd like them. If only I could acknowledge the kind person who did them! _________________ Dennis
