GM12 TMC Aerial position and dead spots

Hi there,

I know there is a topic talking about the 310D and GM12 but after reading through 42 pages I thought it might be useful to have a topic talking about best places for the aerial and known dead spots rather than power lead problems.

I have a Nuvi 360 and have been trying the aerial either along the bottom of the windscreen or vertically up the right hand side and then horizontally in a sort of 7 shape. I haven't come to a conclusion yet as to which is best thought as have only had the GM12 for a week.

So far I have found that the A1 from around Peterborough to the M62 is pretty dead for traffic signals and most of the length of the A14 from Cambridge to the M6/M1 which is really handy, On a more positive note it did route me rather well round an accident on the M42 earlier this week.

i've just got mine laying on the dash in no particular way and i've had no problems....
