I'm sure it's been asked before, but can anyone tell me how old (or when this map was first available) my v605.0 GB map is.
My device is a TOM TOM One classic, running App 6.520.

Cheers for that. About a year old then.
For some reason I thought that when I upgraded the App I also had a map upgrade.
I notice TomTom are selling new GB maps for about £35, however these are over 200MB in size. If I downloaded this I presume i'm going to need another card.
Personally I think Tom Tom is doing the map updates wrong. I think they should be on a subscription like anti virus software, and when a new version of the map your using is available it's instantly ready for download. |

But can you imagine the outcry when people buy a year's subscription and then don't get a single update in that time! |

No.
Go to tomtom website, go to map shop and put your product code in the box to find out if THEY think it is worth buying the new ones. |

I think i might go for the update...Dont look like they are going to release a so called 'NEW' map. I guess Im light years behind with V3.90 (At least I got postcodes).
The funny thing is, I still get to all the places Ive ever needed to get to (In the end) |

went to tomtom website, put my product code in the box and this is what it said.
We advise you not to update your map. You already have one of the most up-to-date maps available (version 6.5 or 6.6). However, you can select maps of other countries or continents.
tomtom one uk,
app 6.520
boot 4.86
