I would like to change the poi alert tone on my N20, the tone that warns of Navman's own camera database. I have changed the file POI_alert.wav but nothing has changed. It can't be rocket science so has anyone managed to change it??

Simon F | There are two sounds (.wav files) for you to use on the Navman and you can add your own.
Connect your device and open SmartST Desktop - MAP - POI Editor - Tools - Sounds Admin.
Highlight the .wav file you wish to use or add you own. Click OK and exit. _________________ Gee-Pee

Thanks GP but that does not work on mine. When I go to sound admin the Navamn tone is not listed. All my custom tones are there but not the POI_alert.wav file!

I've sent you a couple of the .wav files from my Navman. Hope that helps but sounds (sic) like you have a bigger problem _________________ Gee-Pee

I suspect I have done it!!
Go to active sync/tools/explore device. under Navman/POIs there is a file SafetyCam.wav. I have never seen this file before but this sounds like the default Navman warning tone. Change this file et voila!!
All I've got to do now is test it this afternoon!!
