|
|
hi,
i recently bought nuvi 350. I now want to go for tmc. any idea how much will the antenan cost and from where to buy. I was also wondering if leaving the TMC antenna will attract thieves. My earlier GPS was stolen as i left the GPS mount, theives broke my side window glass and took the GPS from my car glove box. so is it safe to fix up antenna permanently on front window of car? |

You can either get a GTM12 (roughly £100 on ebay) which you could remove if you are concerned about thefts, or a GTM10 (more like £150), which would be permanently attached to the car aerial (giving you better reception) and then it's only a mini USB cable on show. |

so if i have understood you correctly., the GTM 12 is not visible from outside as its attached to car antenna. thus will not attract the attention of the thieves? |

The GTM12 would be visible, but the GTM10 would be less visible - the GTM10 would be located behind your car stereo as a permanent fitted item - with just a mini USB cable between it and your Nuvi (which you would have to decide what to do with).
Look here for more info on the various options and what the cables look like, with links to manuals etc. |
