Hi all.
I'm a complete sat-nav virgin.
Have just bought a Streetpilot c310, I know it's an old model but thought it was a bargain at £99!!
I've got it all up and running ok, installed the latest firmware/software.
I downloaded the POI's from MaFt.co.uk and tried to install them using the POI loader, but got an error that there was not enough space on the GPS.
I would have thought there was enough space on the card so cant understand why I get this error.
Any advice please.
Thanks

I've managed to download and install the speed cam files ok, still no luck with the other POI's.
Any ideas?
Thanks

My Garmin i3 also comes up with this error when I try to load the POI's. Even if I only try to load 1 it still says that there is not enough space?
Can anyone help us? |

POI's are loaded into internal memory on the unit, I get the speedcams & a large chunk of MAFTS POIs on my C320. I believe there is a way to load the POI's onto the external memory card to increase the storage, if you search the forums you should find out how to do this. _________________ __________________________

Forgive me for posting on two threads, thought it would be better to post on my own thread.
Right , I've spent hours reading through the forums, and it seems this is quite a common problem but there doesnt seem to be a definitive solution.
It seems strange that i'm able to upload the speed cam files ok but am unable to upload ANY other POI's. I managed to get them onto the SD card but the unit doesnt seem to recognise them.
Two things i'd like to be able to do for now; hard reset (tried the pressing bottom right hand corner rotrine, no success) and also removing the 'junk' i.e foreign voice, text etc.
I would really appreciate any help with this as it's driving me mad!!! :x
Thanks

Spoke to Garmin yesterday, cleared a few things up for me.
They said there is limited space on the unit for POI's so its just a case of loading them on gradually until the memory's full.
POI's will not be read off the memory card, this is for maps only.
Also, the extra voice/language files are part of the firmware/software so cannot be removed, although they didn't sound too convinced about this, i'd be interested to know if anybody has managed to remove these (A hard reset didn't manage to do this).
Hope this helps somebody.
