There are a couple of posts in this forum that compares TomTom to Garmin and gives some of the pluses and minuses of each. Personally, I would expect in this Garmin forum for everyone to say the Garmin is much better than the TomTom.
My opinion? I moved from TomTom PDA to a Nuvi....
What are your key functionality requirements of a SatNav unit? What has caught your attention about the Nuvi? |

I have a Nuvi 350. No problems with it and everything works as it should. I download te PGPSW speed cams and MAfts and european POI's as I work in Europe quite often.
Friends with TomTom rate mu mapping and turn prompt better than the TT but the Garmin has fewer gimicks than the TT.
I use the talking book feature and MP3 with a 4GB memory card and all is rosy abd it fits in my shirt pocket when I'm in a foriegn city and I've found the european mapping spot on apart from one new French toll road that opened this summer.
I download all the regular updates and have never had a problem when download is completed. |

For European POI's and SOME speed cameras ( They don't seem to be up to PGPSW speed at updating)
Go to http://www.poihandler.com/ 12 euro a year memebership to get speed cams and there is loads of free stuff to |
