Lots of brands relabel Sandisk, unfortunately.
As I've posted numerous times in the forums before, the brand that was found always to be Japanese cards (types that are problem free) during all the research on Dell Axim X5 Pocket PCs (which are about the fussiest there are) was SimpleTech.
In the UK, you can get SimpleTech SD cards from clove.co.uk - you can see their range here.
I've made this recommendation numerous times, echoing that of Jon, the webmaster of http://sdprob.aximsite.com - and nobody has complained yet.
