Hi, Question for Pootle concerning his voice changing document.
I've followed your instructions on my i3, and the recalculating voice file has definitely changed on the TF card as expected (I've downloaded it back to my computer to verify this).
My problem starts when the TF card is put back into the i3, American English is selected and the back button is pressed. What am I now waiting patiently for? Nothing seems to happen. After 5 minutes I switched off, counted to 10, And switched back on again and selected British English etc. No voice change occurs when I drive the "wrong" way.
Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? |

Hi senrab,

When you have changed to american English then back to British English when you expect to hear the new voice what do you hear? Silence or the original recalculating etc.?
Can you confimr your i3 details, firmware and audio version. Found in settings, about.
If you PM me an email addy I will send you a working altered VPM file that is standard except Recalculating which is Homer Simpson Awww crxp. _________________ -----------------------------------

The much discussed Audio Version....
The above examples use audio versions 2.5 and 2.6 both of which use the voice from internal memory not the TF card. Even if the voice files are on the TF card they will have no affect on the unit.
