Hi. Just got the T1 but I'm not sure it's working OK - on the Traffic Status screen it shows TMC inactive and on the RDS - TMC Station tuning screen all it says is Select a Radio Station but doesn't show any to select from - is this normal/OK or am I missing something? Also I don't see any icons on the screen while I'm driving, the manual says I should see an icon on the right of the screen to show whether it's receiving data or not. Any ideas?? Thanks...... |

Which Satnav do you have? The 530 manual says it will display an icon if it's receiving data but this is an error; no such icon is displayed. When it shows as inactive, that means it hasn't found the radio station. Have you positioned the antenna with the lead fully stretched out? _________________ Tim |

I have the 530 - no I haven't stretched out. I have had some events listed but have only ever seen the inactive screen. |

OK, so don't expect an icon on the screen. The only was to see your status is to monitor the Trqaffic page. If you've had events recorded, you have, at sometime at least, had a valid connection. _________________ Tim |

Thanks for the info. So the status screen will only show active and the radio channels available during reception of a TMC event? |

Yes, although according to Navman the only valid station in the UK is Classic FM. Mind you, some people (me included) have had data from other stations, too. _________________ Tim |
