Nuvi 310 memory card question

I've put a new (empty) sd card in my 310. I dont think it shows up anywhere that it is present. If this is right, how would I download POI files to the card rather than the built in memory.?

the card would be for optional mapping..the poi's load onto the nuvi's internal memory..

My PC detects my nuvi 310D under my computer / windows explorer and the SD card that is fitted to the nuvi as a separate removable disk.

You may have to format the SD card before it is recognised by your computer.

I have saved POI's to the SD card using POI loader along with mp3 tracks.

This does work but you do get a warning message on your nuvi screen telling you that info is on the card that would be better on the nuvi internal memory.

Either way it works, its up to you which way you go.
