|
Hi all,
Just thought I would mention a couple of things... Loving my Mio510 finding it an amazing bit of kit.... and I am comparing this to my inbuilt Audi System....
I dont seem to have many of the problems that people have had with their's...
But I have had a failure with mine in the last few days. The onboard speaker appears to have blown, and the sound is totally distorted. I emailed Mio and 1 hour later I had a reply, asking for more details, which I gave. Then one day later another email to say they were sending some packaging in the post for me to send my unit off.
They say 10day turn around on fixing the machine, so I will report back to see if this standard of service stays so unlike Mitac
regards

Blimey Gav.
You've had a result.
I must have somewhere in the region of 15 emails all unanswered.
Good luck with the repair.

Now this really annoys me. I used to think that Mitac were overwhelmed with emails or had a poor support system. Your experience shows that Mitac are actually reading all the emails promptly, and just picking out those which are easy to resolve. The rest they just ignore. That's appalling

I hate to say this, but I have to give Mitac or their UK repair arm full marks....
My Mio came back yesterday fully repaired... it was indeed a blown speaker.
So I sent the item last friday and received it back yesterday.
It looks to me that Mitac pass the ticket straight along to the UK service centre which was called "CSN" and they dealt with it.
Overall I am very happy.... |

You're about the only one who's happy with their support.
Glad you got sorted anyway.

Hi arf501.
Grrrrrrr.
You have just confirmed that what Sallyann said is correct. Appalling being the understatement of the year.
I'm going to re send one of my old software queries to see if they respond to that.
