I would like to be able to switch off the audio alerts but have visual alerts still.
I find it annoying if I listen to the MP3 player while navigating and the camera alert comes in and interrupts the track. |

I'd like it if it flashed up the next turn screen without pressing the button |

i'd like it to give correct OSGB grid references instead of the mickey-mouse conversion mine gives at the moment.
transform from WGS84 Lat/Lon to OSGB36 grid Ref...
...not shoehorn WGS84 Lat/Lon figures thru an OSGB36 Lat/Lon-to-OSGB36 Grif Ref conversion algorithm (that gives your position 130 odd metres away in the river!).
i've just got off the phone to Garmin. I feel better now.
(yeah, i've got issues...) |

Totally agree with that idea.
A phone book is available to program in my Nuvi 310D, so having the option to do a "one-time" synchronisation would be hellishly useful.
Bluetooth can do this. I hope Garmin can take note |

The Garmin Bluetooth Support website includes instructions on how to perform a one-off synchronisation of the phone books with the Nokia N73... |

Improve the software - MetroGuide North America v6 should not be more advanced than CityNavigator v8! This included POIs as well as actual roads. MetroGuide also allows more routing preference; all of these options should also be available within the Nuvi. (i.e. "Try to Avoid" certain types of roads as well as "Road Selection" where you can use a sliding rule to set your preference of minor or major roads.)
This is a navigation unit, update the abbreviation "DR" to be read as "Drive"...currently this is read as "Doctor." |

Also what it would be interesting is if it can display tolls and the updated price you need to pay on them, so that you can have the option to avoid them |

I wish the traffic system on my Nuvi 660 actually worked. I made the mistake of updating to 3.90, I have since been stuck in traffic jams on motorways that the 660 failed to receive information about.
I am not wishing for too much, am I? |

The v4.00 GTM firmware is said (by Garmin) to fix this problem, but I'm not sure if it's quite available yet. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

Ok - I'm a month or so down the road with my nuvi 660 so...
1/ Separately remembered settings for lighting levels for daytime/night time as well as internal and external power.
2/ More volume from the TTS voice(s) - they seem to be quite a bit lower than the non-TTS voices.
3/ A working GTM - OK I know (hope) this is being fixed _________________ Phil |
