Have just planned a route from Cheshire to Kinloss without a problem on a TT1 old version. v.6.520 Map v605.0
Have you tried Forres or Nairn, which are closer to Kinloss than Elgin?
I say this because I was at the airbase there for a couple of years. |

Keenster you are not alone.
It is very strange.
If I select Kinloss as a city centre I also get no route found.
If I browse the map and find Kinloss city centre then navigate to I get no route found.
If I browse the map and select the B9011 at the end of Glebe road a route is planned.
If I select anywhere on Glebe road I get no route found.
If I use advance planning to select a start point on the B9011 and a desitination on Glebe road I get no route found.
If I select two points on Glebe road a route is found.
My conclusion is that there is a disconnect at the junction the B9011 and Glebe Road.
I'm using 910 V6.520 and the map is Western and Central Europe V650.1052
Cheers

It is a strange one, if you select bowse Map/ Find/ Address/ City Center, enter Kinloss and it finds it, but fails to route to it. Tap the grey/ Blue cursor icon and select Navigate there - it works out the route to the same place.
Lovely part of the country, just a shame its so far North - many a happy month spent there - Mike |

Yes it’s certainly weird. I was using the ‘Navigate to… address, street and house function, which still allows you to put the ‘City’ in the address line. Using this method always routes me to Kinloss.
However, using the ‘City Centre’ function tells me ‘No route found’
Perhaps Kinloss is just too small to be recognised as a ‘City’ by Tom Tom Tele Atlas Maps, which is the only plausible explanation I can think of at the moment. Unless someone out there knows more about Tele Atlas Mapping protocols. |

Has anyone else tried this?

As an addition to the above.
If you try ‘Navigate to…’ Address, street and house number, then put in the following:
Kinloss, Central Ave, 1, and choose fastest route, do you find this works for you.
This is the way I choose to use navigation rather than the ‘City Centre’ method. This is on the TT1 original b the way. |

I think I have found it :D
If you :
navigate to,
Street and house number,
City - Kinloss
Street - G
Then you will (I) see a car symbol with a cross through it, which I take to mean that cars are not allowed along that street for some reason.
It just so happens that when the centre of Kinloss was selected they picked a road that cars are not allowed along.
The lesson is when doing a demo do not pick kinloss.
Cheers

If you select what type of route you want (quickest, shortest, non-motorway etc) and choose bicycle a route is planned !!!!
So you can navigate there you just have to cycle
It would take me 41:41 hrs.
Cheers

Mmmm, I'm not so sure about that. For instance, if you choose Weston (Nr Crewe, Cheshire) which is even smaller than Kinloss, then choose Jack Lane, (No Cars), then it will still route you there. |

Tried this with 2 units.
TT1 V2 regional gets the no route found, but does show the location as pedestrian roads.
TT Rider using Navtec, finds the route, but does not show the roads as pedestrian. |
