|
|
I've just installed and setup TTN2 on iPaq 5550 and Fortuna BT Clip on. Sadly, even though I've pretty much everything setup, whenever I try to do an address search, the PPC crashes. This usually happens after the list of cities pops up, after the first letter entered, it goes sloooooowww, send letter it stops, third letter the software just bombs out.
This feature is one of the main features of the software for me. Has anyone come across this problem before?
Anyone help me solve it?
Cheers

To rule everything else out, can you please make sure you have plenty of Main Memory free, and that you have defragmented your storage card? _________________ Lutz

it's a 256MB storage card brand new yesterday.
Memory says:
Storage: Allocated 57MB, In Use 18MB, Free 39MB
Program: Allocated 69MB, In Use 13MB, Free 55MB
Storage Card has 142MB free out of 241MB
Is this sufficient?
Additionally after about 5 uses of TomTom, I have to perform a device reset. Surely this isn't normal?
Regards

I think I've solved the problem, the software appears to be doing the right thing now. I'm pretty sure that removing MS Pocket Streets did the jobbie.
Incidentally, if anyone knows of a good (free) way to edit my PPC registry to get rid of the pesky BT prompt, I'll be eternally grateful.
Cheers
