|
|
I have installed TomTom 6 Navigator on my VPA III (Vodafone V1605) and it works really smoothly. The only problem is that there seem to be no speed camera warnings, although these are supposed to be a standard part of the installation. The Speed camera icon is there on the TomTom Plus page but all the settings are greyed out. Anyone got a solution or knows how to access them? |

Thanks for your reply. I have registered with TT Plus but see no way to add the cameras. Any ideas? |

Still no joy. As I was unable to achieve anything with TT6 I registered with this site and downloaded the latest camera database. Tried it last night and it works great! |

Hi
I have the same problem. TomTom replied to my question about this and say it looks like the DVD has the cameras missing. They have offered to provide me a download from TomTom Plus.

Hopefully I'll get the same. So far I've had a request for my product and device codes so I'll see what happens.

The TomTom camera facility is installed but you need authorisation from the server to be able to use them. You could do this through the update option on the plus menu or TTHome, but if the server does see you as authorised they will remain greyed out.
I had to fax a copy of my receipt for TT6 to TomTom support before I got access. Oddly one of the support agents also asked for a receipt for my PDA which I did not send. |

I too, cannot 'see' the TT cameras. Would this be because the Pocket GPS cameras overite and take preferance so to speak. ? In which case , I'm not sure whether or not TT cameras are installed....any way of double checking ? |

After emailing my product code TomTom emailed back saying the cameras had been added to my profile. I then plugged in my SD card (where i have installed TomTom) to my pc via a card reader. Within seconds TomTom home appeared with all the speed camera files. Transferred them to the SD card and now have speed cameras.
I would have preferred the files on the DVD as a permanent store but unfortunately the DVD I received didnt have them, despite what it said on the box.

It looks like a common problem. So far I have sent them my product code and device code. Now they have asked for proof of purchase (surely they can see from my activation that this is a unique licensed copy). So hopefully I'll get it sorted soon

You really need to write to them in Dutch...preferably, double. |
