can anybody advise me on a problem i am having
i have a wired tomtom navigator 3 wired and what is happenieg is the receiver is flashing red then green as it picks up where it is, but on the pda (toshiba e 740) gps screen there should be flashing dot between the dish icon and the pda icon but this isn't happening and the gps screen stays grey
is this a hardware problem or a cable problem or is it settings

As long as the receiver has the green flashing light then it has a fix.
Most likely problem is in the setting for GPS, it should be set to use com 1, also if you E740 has a connection settings for Beam, you need to have it set to "Receive all incoming beams" unticked. _________________ Graham.

When you look at the Gps status screen does it state tomtom wired receiver and is the box on the left ticked ?? what version Gps driver are you using??
And have you any other application on the Pda that might be using the com port..although its usually Tomtom that hogs this ...Are you definitely getting a flashing GREEN light at One second intervals

The last update for V3 released by Tomtom was V3.07 if you are not using Traffic, and GPS V3.07 GPS drivers. both are still available from the TomTom site for download. _________________ Graham.
