The sad fact in any law suit such as this:
We the consumer foot the bill, only the higher paid help lawyers etc will benefit in the long run - not something I like to read about to be honest it is a waste of cash that could be spent in other areas to enhance the Sat Nav products we all use - Mike |

I personally disagree...not that I've read the report and I'm certainly no lawyer, but if I had a product that I had spent pounds on, then I too, would expect to safeguard my interests, (if it were a genuine attempt to copy something that I had previously held the copyright.) There's far too much copying of products going on this day and age. |

StreetPilot C series = GO Classic, but
TomTom ONE (v1, v2) = Garmin Nuvi
Verdict: both guilty as charged. It's a dangerous world out there :-) |

Wow, some of Garmin's patents sound pretty scarey. They have patents over a number of methods that people take for granted in Sat Nav systems.... _________________ Gone fishing! |

And the final humiliation - "The court also ordered TomTom to pay Garmin's 37,000 euros to cover attorney fees" |
