You need to download the newer speed camera icons as they use a different colour depth (24 bit instead of the old 8 bit) - version 6 compliant icons have been part of the PGPSW database since June IIRC - Mike |

I don't think so, you need to download the folder which is a zip file containing both the icons and the camera database, you could have a look at THIS Thread where one of the site members (see Andy's post) has made some version 6 icons available, they work very well - Mike |

Hi there!
I'm a newbee on this POI alert voice files from France, and I have TT 6.01 PDA working here.
The 7720 data.chk file you did work perfectly for me but I want to make one with french voices.
I was wondering if you could tell me how you did it so that I can make my own file with my .ogg voices?
I tried POIEW, but it doesn't seem to work yet
Many thanks! |

**IMPORTANT**
It has been discussed in the Speed cam. section of the forum, but I couldn't see any mention of it here....
You can now make your own sound files (in .ogg format) and use them for any POI alert.
More details in THIS THREAD
Ready made ones are also available in the same places you would have got the replacement data.chk files from. |

Whoops Didn't mean to post that second one here at all....
Can a mod delete it for me? (as we can't edit our own posts here).
Will do - Oldboy |

It confuses any replies you might get. I've replied to your Original Post and will delete your Third.

Or, possibly, The .ogg method is easier than the data.chk method. _________________ Jock

Hi,
I've just got myself a TomTom One (New Edition) running app 6.501.
I've installed the 'zoned' db and also put the voice alerts (7460_new.data.chk) and all is working well. Thanks pocketgpsworld.com
Is it possible to replace the 'polite 3 - Credits' with a nice polite 'bong'. It would be nice to have a bong to assign to any other POI.
Thanks again for all your efforts. |
