I know its something not mentioned in the specs, and is a feature of TT1v2.
But while I had my TT1v1 plugged into my pc and running thru TTHome, the battery level kept charging up and down, see vid below. Sorry its poor quality (mobile phone video), but you get the idea
So is it actually charging or not?

Eliminate home from the test connect up to the pc and answer no at the prompt Do you want to connect to the Computer so you only have the gps connected via the usb cable now go into the status summary screen does it show charging now
Another test would be to run down the battery untill the warning comes on the screen then connect up the usb cable for a couple of hours then switch back on has the warning gone and what does the summary screen now say.
Lets know how you get on |

I think it maybe a TTHome bug/issue, when selecting not to connect with my pc the battery level doesnt charge on the TT1 unit. I think I'll leave the unit connected to TTHome for a while and see if the chatge goes up or down.

Mick, don't bother un-connected to home on the summary screen directly below the battery it would show in text Charging and also graphically depending on the amount of charge already in the battery so it definitely cant charge via the USB route.
Thanks for the clarification as no doubt others will notice this on their TT1V1's when connected to Home. |
