G2500 No Longer Charging Axim X51v - Speaker still powered!

Purchased my Seidio G2500 for my Dell Axim X51v in Feb 2006 from www.Seidio-Europe.com.

Orginially had problems with the speaker, i.e. no sound, Seidio replaced it in July 2006 with a new cradle which has worked fine until now.

The cradle has stopped charging the PDA, the green light indicates that there is no power and plugging in my charging cable for BT GPS unit shows that there is no 5v DC out either, BUT, there is power to the speaker, SO power is getting to the unit (and the red light on the cigarette lighter plus is illuminated!

Has anybody else had the same problem? And if so what's the fix?

Seidio's warranty period is only 180 days (and even having the unit replaced by them does not, according to their website, extend the warranty). 180 days! That's another gripe.

Any help would be gratefully received.

If you bought it from a European outfit the law gives you a statutory two years 'guarantee' period under EU law: http://tinyurl.com/7cjsj

Additionally, if you bought it using a credit card the issuing bank might also be equally liable, give them a call if you have no luck with the original retailer.
