I have a IPAQ Hx4700 and a Qstarz BT unit. I cannot for the life of me get the two devices to work properly with each other.
I have been looking to upgrade but bearing in mind I only bought them both earlier this year it would be a waste to discard them.
I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me sort this out .
Now I,ve tried reinstalling and resetting both devices to no avail. I have currently re-paired the devices but I get no information other than they are connected. I tried going into GPS and trying various different settings on BT com port 5 but still no joy.
Any help or tips would very appreciated as I am absolutely fed up trying to sort this out. _________________ The countdown has begun! |

Which application are you using on the ipaq-4700? from your previous posts it could be anything! - let us know what application and we can be more specific in terms of instructions - Mike |

Thanks for the reply Mike. I've tried with TT3 & 5.
I went into GPS unchecked the box and tried adjusting the settings with no success.
I removed TT5 and installed TT3 to see if that made any difference but no. _________________ The countdown has begun! |

I've paired the device as per the instructions. The connection shows its active and the counter is ticking but when I launch TT it cannot get a fix despite the BT device showing it has one and its paired.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong but I havnt a clue....
Any ideas anyone? _________________ The countdown has begun! |

Finally I have everything sorted 8)
It only took all yesterday afternoon and a couple of hours today to do but it's done.
Somewhere along the line a file must have been corrupted. As a last resort I did a full hard reset and after two more attempts have TT5 working as it should be.
Thank you to those that have offered me advice both on this post and the others I put up as this has just saved me £300+ because I was going to buy another unit.
I think after Xmas I will probably by myself the Loox N560 unless a better option becomes available.
Once thanks
