|
|
When I plug my One into the computer and I see it as drive F, what exactly am I looking at? Is the whole drive the SD card, or is the root drive the internal memory and the map folder the SD card? The reason I ask is if I get anopther map on an SD card, will I have to set up all my settings and reload my splash screen file etc again?
Thanks |

Drive F: is the ROOT of the SD Card. It the App and any Maps.
You can't access the Internal Memory of the ONE with Explorer.
If you load another Map you will not lose your Splash Screen but you will have to setup your Map Preferences again for the new Map, as they are Map Specific.
Your other Settings will not change as they are stored in Settings.dat
Make sure you do a Backup first, in case something goes amiss.;) _________________ Richard

Thanks for the reply, Oldboy. However I am confused now. If splash.bmp and settings.dat are in the root folder of the SD card (which in effect you say is my F drive), then surely if insert another SD card with, say, Australia maps on it, then I will lose both the splash screen and my settings. |

If you were to ask the question "If I was to load another map onto my existing SD card..." then Richard's answer would apply. _________________ Jock

if windows is set to show all files and extensions u are looking at the sd card in the same way as u would be looking at any other driive on your PC..
u are seeing all thats on it.. u can also manipulate.. move/copy/rename files just like u can any other ones..
